Serving Chicagoland south suburbs
Serving Chicagoland south suburbs
We are partnering with the Village of Phoenix, Illinois for our next pop-up pantry on Saturday, July 27, 2024, 10am (first come, first served) at the William Hawkins Multi-Purpose Center, 650 E. Phoenix Center Drive, Phoenix, Illinois 60426. All who need help with food are welcome.
Meals in the Meantime is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing food support and assistance. Our mission is filling the food gap in Chicagoland south suburbs with nourishment and dignity. We help seniors, single women and men, families, young adults, and children.
We provide grocery bags of food at pop-up food pantries by partnering with local townships, community-based organizations, and faith-based organizations. We help people who need food directly in neighborhoods where they live. The core of our work is putting free, fresh, healthy, high-quality food directly in the hands of people in need.
"For all that I've done. For all the professional and personal success I've had. For all the places in the world I've been. Helping people who need food with Meals in the Meantime is the most fulfilling life experience I've had. And being at our pop-up food pantries is one of the happiest places I'll be." - Kevin M. Yates, Founder, Meals in the Meantime
We have no bias or stereotypes about people experiencing food scarcity. Food insecurity is a condition, not a condemnation. We are changing the condition with Meals in the Meantime.
